I have had the great fortune of making three trips to East Africa. The first was in 1979 and I consider it to be one of the great adventures of my life. On that particular trip I roamed around Kenya with a close companion in a small vehicle and minimal camping gear. The other two trips were classic safaris which for many is the ideal way to see Africa. Wildlife has always been one of my favorite subject matters and there is no place on earth better than The Serengeti to view and photograph it. The combination of game, landscape and people make it a nature photographer's paradise. I will be forever grateful to Sue and Tor Allen for their expert advice, organization and above all their friendship. Until we meet again, asante sana, rafiki mzuri.
